Linda Mathews has over four decades of experience learning about the effects of generational poverty, racism, economic policies, school disparities, and effective strategies to re-build communities and advocate for justice issues including jobs, health resources, housing, food, and the most important thing of all ... children and their right to the best education possible. For over twenty years, Linda served as a volunteer and staff member at CitySquare, a Dallas-based organization that fought the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy and friendship. The core values of CitySquare were community, faith, justice and stewardship – which serve as worthy goals that Linda strives for each day.
